Who We Are
Once Helpful was founded by a dedicated gamer and content creator who has spent years crafting guides, reviews, and helpful articles across different platforms. I previously ran Replay Jutsu, a blog focused on anime and gaming that steadily built an audience. Things were going great – until the August Core Update hit.
Google calls them “Helpful Updates,” but for smaller sites like ours, these updates feel more like random, shadowy waves designed to take down independent publishers. Just as we start gaining momentum, these updates can come along, making our hard work vanish from search results overnight. It’s disheartening, especially when you’re working hard to create genuinely useful content.
Why Once Helpful?
After watching Replay Jutsu get buried by one of Google’s so-called “helpful” updates, I decided to take a fresh approach. Once Helpful is a new beginning – a place to republish the gaming content I originally created with passion and detail. This time, I’m focused on building a site that keeps the gaming community informed and engaged, no matter what hurdles Google’s algorithm may throw our way.
